Emerging Voices Specialist_m/f/d Official title: Public Engagement Specialist (Emerging Voices) Who We Are The U.S. Mission in Germany is one of the largest U.S. Diplomatic Missions in the world, due in large to its vital geographical situation, its political, and commercial importance in Europe. The U.S. Mission comprises the Embassy in Berlin and five consulates in Frankfurt, Munich, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, and Leipzig and provides a wide array of services and support as well as playing a vital role in German American relations. The U.S. Embassy Berlin is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Emerging Voices Specialist_m/f/d - official title: Public Engagement Specialist (Emerging Voices) . Your Tasks You are the leading staff advisor for Embassy Berlin´s Public Diplomacy (PD) engagement with Emerging Voices audience sector, primarily youth, minorities, and others using new, often digital communication networks. You plan, develop, coordinate, oversee, and evaluate the impact f all PD activities, projects, and initiatives to engage EV audience sectors.

You track trends in emerging networks through direct engagement, research polling, and statistical analysis and analytics. You design and recommend PD strategies to connect with EV audience sectors to promote understanding of and suppport for U.S. policy. You supervise a team of two. Your Profile You have a university degree in Communications, International Affairs, American or Intercultural Studies, Marketing or local equivalent, and have gained professional experience with communications, public engagement management, or education duties as part of your work in an international, academic, or government work environment. You possess fluent English and German oral and written language skills.
